39th arrest in casuals probe
A 19-YEAR-OLD man has become the 39th suspected football hooligan to be arrested by police during a series of raids.
The teenager was arrested at his home in the west of the city yesterday and was due to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court today.
The man was charged in connection with the football violence which followed October's Hearts-Hibs derby. After the match, up to 60 hooligans fought running battles in the Fountainbridge and Lothian Road areas.
A string of dawn raids have been carried out across the Capital in recent weeks, with 38 men detained and 33 so far facing criminal charges.
