£200 fine for illegal tattoo
A YOUTH who carved the letters BYT on the shoulder of a 14-year-old boy was yesterday fined £200.
Christopher Davidson, 20, of Hawick, Roxburghshire, used a needle and Indian ink for the home-made tattoo. The letters stand for Burnfoot Young Team.
The boy was a willing participant, but his mother found out about the tattoo and called the police.
Davidson was found guilty yesterday at Jedburgh Sheriff Court of carrying out the offence last November.
