£2m funding boost aims to help mental health services for teens
SERVICES dealing with mental health issues in youngsters will receive a £2 million boost, the Scottish Government has announced.
Under-18s with conditions such as bipolar disorder and schizophrenia will benefit from the investment.
The investment will help hire specialist psychologists, nurses and mental health workers, public health minister Shona Robison said, who will be able to carry out a range of work within communities.
She added: "It is really important that children and young people who experience severe problems with their mental health are given the best possible support to recover and reach their full potential."
