A 10-YEAR-OLD boy has been taken to hospital with facial injuries following a disturbance involving around 15 children outside a supermarket.
Police were made aware of a disturbance near Tesco, Lang Stracht, Aberdeen, at around 8.15pm last night involving male and female youths aged between 10 and 14.
As a result a 10-year-old boy received facial injuries and was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment.
Initial inquiries indicate that the disturbance led to a number of smaller incidents in the local area, police said.
Inspector Kevin Wallace said: “We are currently responding to a number of reports from members of the public regarding these incidents and would appeal for any witnesses to contact us on 101. Inquiries are at an early stage and as yet no one has been arrested or charged.
“Incidents of this nature are rare and we would urge the public to pass on any information and allow us to investigate.”
