KATE and Gerry McCann yesterday welcomed European Parliament backing for an EU-wide missing-child alert system.
Madeleine McCann's parents said it was "wonderful news" that a declaration backing the couple's plea for action had attracted sufficient MEPs' signatures to become a formal resolution.
