VIRAL video hits this week include reporters wrestling with the elements, The BFG and Donald Trump getting on the wrong side of an eagle.

Donald Trump vs. Bald Eagle

Whilst the American billionaire has been the centre of news attention this week due to his comments on banning all Muslims from entering the United States - there was something beautifully cathartic about watching the Highlands golf course owner come a cropper of a bald eagle during a photoshoot with Time magazine.

Theresa Mannion vs. Storm Desmond

Much like many parts of Scotland, our celtic cousins across the Irish Sea were also hit by stark weather conditions as a result of ‘Storm Desmond’. Irish national broadcaster RTE sent brave reporter Teresa Mannion to Galway to experience the weather firsthand - and the windswept broadcast soon became a viral hit, even receiving the remix treatment.

Clive Myrie vs. Tyson Fury

The inclusion of Morecambe’s own boxing champion Tyson Fury on the ‘Sports Personality of the Year’ shortlist has caused much debate, but none have put it as succinctly than BBC news reporter Clive Myrie.

Fury’s shock victory over Ukrainian boxer Wladimir Klitschko to win the Heavyweight title saw him added to the ‘SPOTY’ shortlist, however this sparked much backlash due to his history of homophobic and sexist remarks. Whilst discussing this on BBC’s rolling news channel, Clive Myrie looks at his watch before uttering ‘It’s after the watershed. You cannot be a dickhead and win Sports Personality of the Year’. Knockout.

‘You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.’

News of a stabbing in Leytonstone tube station in London caused much panic across the country about possible terrorist attacks and what the repercussions could be for British Muslims.

The arrest of Muhaydin Mire was filmed by an unnamed witness, whose response of ‘You ain’t no Muslim, bruv.’ soon became a viral hashtag and was even repeated by Prime Minister David Cameron.
