Video: pieces of Scots Diaspora Tapestry go on show

THE first finished panels of a major artwork created with the help of Scots from across the world have been unveiled by the Culture Secretary.

The first of 150 embroidered panels were created by those living in Sweden and Italy. The panels tell stories of Scots who left the country to live and work elsewhere.

Fiona Hyslop revealed the first pieces of the Scottish Diaspora Tapestry at Prestonpans Community Centre, where they are on display as part of the 3Harbours Festival.

When the tapestry is finished next year, it will go on display across Scotland.
