X Factor hopeful defends her angry tirade after she is booted off the show

AN X Factor reject, who allegedly lashed out during the auditions, has claimed the show subjected her to “the most humiliating day of my life”.

Zoe Alexander, a Pink tribute act, is alleged to have used foul language, pushed a female producer in the face and thrown her microphone when she was told she was not good enough.

But the 22-year-old accused bosses of the ITV1 show of deliberately painting her as a “girl with a bad attitude” during Monday’s round of pre-recorded auditions in Cardiff.

Alexander, from Caerphilly, South Wales, allegedly screamed profanities after judges Louis Walsh and Gary Barlow called her average. But the singer claimed the show had deliberately tried “to make me out to be this girl with a bad attitude”.

“I’m not that girl. I can play that character, but I’m not that person. I’m actually a nice person,” she said.

Alexander said she had been told by producers to sing the Pink song So What.

“It wasn’t a song I was going to do. I wanted to do Jessie J. I didn’t feel comfortable,” she said. “They humiliated me in front of thousands of people. But I make my living doing Pink routines and I’m good at it.

“I went out on stage and Gary Barlow put his hand up in just 30 seconds. They all seemed to have a really awful attitude towards me. On the second song, I didn’t even get into the chorus.”

She went on: “They didn’t have one positive thing to say. I do this for a living and I know people like what I do. People enjoy what I do. I did swear, but I was referring to the X Factor and the company, not the audience.”
