Food & Drink (BBC Two, 8.30pm)
(Channel 4, 9pm)
THIS heartwarming, tastefully done series highlights that while love doesn’t come easily to some, everybody has the right to love and be loved.
This episode catches up with some of the daters from the first series, including amateur radio enthusiast Richard, who has Asperger’s and up until last year hadn’t been on a date for 20 years, while media student and actor Sam, who has Down’s syndrome, fills us in on his dating situation.
We also catch up with Luke, the stand-up comedian with Tourette’s, and Haydn, who despite his craniofacial condition (Crouzon) may have met his perfect match in Carolyne.
Derek (Channel 4, 10pm)
IN the second instalment of Ricky Gervais’ new series, Derek has something to celebrate – his 50th birthday – so he’s rallying the troops for a party at Broadhill. He’d like them to include JLS, Susan Boyle and Stacey Solomon; whether he gets them or not is another matter entirely.
Martin Clunes – Heavy Horse Power (STV, 9pm)
TWO years ago, Martin Clunes adopted a couple of young Clydesdale draught horses called Bruce and Ronnie. They’re now at an age where they’re getting a little bored with just trotting around an empty field. To give the pair some focus, Martin has brought in Robert Sampson, an equine expert who will turn “the boys” into useful working horses and he’ll coach Martin how to drive them properly.
Monty Don’s French Gardens (BBC2, 9pm)
FOR his latest series, Monty Don travels the length and breadth of France. In this week’s edition, he turns his attention to the many ways in which the nation’s love of food has influenced its horticulture, beginning by visiting a number of potagers – gardens in which both vegetables and flowers are planted.
Fatal Flight 447: Chaos In The Cockpit, (More 4, 10.35pm)
