New Radio 1 breakfast host Nick Grimshaw talks up his ‘dream’ job
NEW Radio 1 breakfast host Nick Grimshaw has started to dream about his high-profile show.
The 28-year-old takes over on Monday from Chris Moyles, who bowed out last week after more than eight years. Grimshaw said: “It was a little daunting to begin with, but now I’m just excited. I’m actually dreaming about it – and nice dreams, too. The other night I dreamt that Rihanna was doing the weather.”
Grimshaw, who has been holidaying in Ibiza with his friend Kate Moss, said he was coping well while preparing for the early morning starts.
“I do find it easy to get up in the morning and my brain functions better,” he said.
“So I think I should be OK if I’m getting up at half five after going to bed at 10.”
In an interview with Top Of The Pops magazine, Grimshaw joked he might end up presenting the show in his pyjamas. He said: “I go to the shops wearing pyjama bottoms, glasses and a vest, looking a bit crazy.”
