FINNISH company Nokia have joined the music streaming race with the introduction of Music+, designed for their Lumia line of mobile phones.
The premium streaming service is an upgraded version of Nokia’s existing Music app, and allows users access to the service’s 17 million songs.
For around €3.99 a month, users can upgrade to Music+, which will offer unlimited song skips in the Radio portion and unlimited downloads. It also has a browser-based option for users.
Songs will be available to download and stream in higher quality, with lyrics includes whilst songs are playing.
Vice President of Entertainment at Nokia, Jyrki Rosenberg, said of the new feature: “Nokia Music is great for discovering new music, and we’ve found that there’s a core of users that want even more of it.
“This is how Nokia Music+ came about. We’re opening the doors for unlimited music discovery at only €3.99 per month.”
Music+ is expected to be introduced gradually across American and European territories over the next few months.
