Cyclist, 79, killed in West Lothian crash named

A 79-year-old cyclist who was hit by a lorry last week and died last night has been named by police.

A 79-year-old cyclist who was hit by a lorry last week and died last night has been named by police.

Douglas Brown, from the Leith area of Edinburgh, was hit by a lorry on the B9080 Linlithgow to Kirkliston road near Winchburgh Bing in West Lothian, at about 10:30am on Thursday.

He died in hospital last night as a result of the injuries he sustained in the collision.

Police Scotland are continuing to investigate the cause and are appealing for any witnesses to contact them
