Festival review: Children’s Underground Tour; The Tron

A LITTLE walking is necessary to get from the Tron to the vaults under South Bridge, where our tour guide Denny leads us up a set of winding stairs, introducing us to some ghastly pieces of apparatus in the Torture Museum along the way.

He then leads us into the vaults. Exploring these dark, damp chambers could be dangerous, but two other tour guides are on hand to assist.

Denny’s manner is very relaxed but some of the material is possibly a little scary for the young audience. By the end of the 45 minutes, however, we have learned a little and heard supposedly true stories of ghosts, witches and banshees.
