Lorry crashes into bridge at a Glasgow train station causing disruption to travel

ScotRail confirmed it is looking into the incident.

A lorry has crashed into a bridge causing disruption to train services, passengers have been warned.

The railway line at Kennishead, Glasgow, was closed temporarily while ScotRail investigated the damage caused.

Services have resumed as it is safe to run trains over the bridge, but the rail company said passengers could see delays and some journey may be altered.

In a statement online ScotRail alerted train users to the crash.

A spokesman said: “Staff have carried out an examination and inform that it is safe to run our trains over the bridge.

"Train services running through this station are now returning to normal but some services may still be altered or delayed.”
