Comedian Harry Hill to return to Edinburgh Fringe Festival
Harry Hill: To return to Edinburgh for first stand-up show in six years
ONE of the nation’s best-loved comedians is to make a return to live stand-up after a six-year absence at this year’s Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Harry Hill, best known for presenting the chaotic television comedy Harry Hill’s TV Burp for 11 years, will debut new material in a show entitled Experiments in Entertainment at The Stand. Hill will play two shows every day for four days, from Wednesday 1 August to Saturday 4 August.
Hill’s return to the Fringe will see the comedian come full circle; the Surrey-born comic won a Perrier Newcomer’s Award in 1992 at the beginning of his career at the festival. Tickets for the show will be on sale from Wednesday 4 July at noon at www.thestand.co.uk.
