Preview: Jack White, Usher Hall, Thu 8 November
Jack White
JACK White has come a long way since the White Stripes’ 2001 gig at Liquid Room.
The Detroit-born musician has become a bona fide rock superstar, who headlines the world’s biggest festivals and sells out stadiums with ease.
All of which makes tonight’s visit to the Usher Hall - by his standards an intimate venue - a real event.
White, who is ranked 17th on Rolling Stone’s Top 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All-Time list, will play a set covering all the bases from his career – selections from the White Stripes, the Raconteurs, the Dead Weather and his recent solo record, Blunderbuss.
• Jack White, Usher Hall, Lothian Road, tonight 7pm, £30 (returns only), 0131-228 1155
