New names take top spots in charts

Two new names sit at the top of the UK charts, as The Script and The xx celebrate a No 1 single and album respectively.

It was a case of second time lucky for The Script, after their track Hall of Fame – which features Black Eyed Peas rapper Will.i.am – was narrowly beaten to last week’s top spot by R&B star Ne-Yo. The xx tops the album chart with Coexist.
