CDs gather dust as MP3s take over
THE popularity of MP3 players is creating a mountain of unused CDs, according to online auction site eBay.
Music lovers are steadily transferring their collections on to files which can be stored on computer, and many of the 7.38 billion CDs owned by UK households are becoming redundant as a result.
