Album review: Snoop Dogg - Malice 'N Wonderland

SNOOP DOGG Malice 'N Wonderland *** Priority, £12.72

The most striking tune on the tenth studio album from Cordozar Calvin Broadus is the Timbaland produced That's Tha Homie, which asks: "Would you say my name?"

It is hip-hop concentrate, and so crammed with guest artists it is standing room only for the rap royalty. Snoop's nephew Soulja Boy drapes himself all over Pronto – "I don't freestyle 'coz my style ain't free," indeed – looking to big it up over R Kelly, Brandy and Pharrell in this struggle for musical bragging rights. But the main man acts the malevolent musical uncle to ensure nobody rains on his parade.
