YOU could be mistaken for thinking it was a photograph, taken by a high-fashion photographer – but this image of Amy Winehouse is a pencil drawing.
Kelvin Okafor, from north London, spends 80 to 100 hours working on each portrait. His subjects also include Tinie Tempah and Mother Teresa.
Mr Okafor’s works sell for up to £10,000. He says: “The attention I’m receiving is surreal and hasn’t really sunk in yet,” he said. “But I’m really humbled and honoured that so many people appreciate my work.
“I hope to have my own gallery in the future.”
