Summerhall has stamped its mark on the Edinburgh art scene with its residency in the former Royal Dick Vet School. To mark the biggest night of the year they are promising to entertain, amuse and delight with The Loveboat Big Band, DJs Lindsay Todd (Firecracker Recordings) and Joseph Malik (Cafe Graffiti/Compost) as well as a few surprises to keep things exciting.
The Most Extraordinary Hogmanay Party

The original Hogmanay venue on the Royal Mile is reopened for the first time in 20 years for a series of New Year’s events from Drambuie. On the 31st two of Edinburgh’s own house music institutions, Heavy Gossip and Ultragroove join forces to toast 2013 in a unique space.

For real DJ disciples, the Liquid Room is the place to be this Hogmanay. Over two floors, the heavyweight line-up of Derrick Carter, Justin Robertson, Joris Voorn and Darius Syrossian will be joined by local DJs for what’s sure to be a sweaty, hedonistic event.
Edinburgh’s Grand Hogmanay Ball

The newly refurbished Assembly Rooms on George Street provide the glam setting for a glam occasion on the capital’s social calendar. The Las Vegas-inspired clubnight takes over the Voodoo Rooms for Rat Pack music and performances from Missy Malone, Bugsy Seagull, Cow Cow Boogie (live), Nikki Nevada and the Vegas Showgirls, plus The Fabulous Scott Brothers and Croupiers in the Stardust Casino Lounge.

Magic Nostalgic NYE 2013

A relatively new addition to the capital’s club scene, this unpretentious night is based on the concept of ‘The Wheel’, which decides what kind of music is played. This time DJs JP and HP are inviting people to add a category to the regulars like disco, rock gods and power ballads.
