A sale of vintage posters in London next week features some striking period views of Scotland.

The auction at Christie’s on Tuesday will include a number of lots with Andrew Johnson’s 1930s poster of golf in North Berwick expected to fetch up to £9,000. A poster of Edinburgh featuring Mons Meg on the Castle esplanade, based on a painting by Frank Newbould, could go for between £2,500 and £3,000, while bids are expected to start at £1,000 for the print featuring Austin Cooper’s evocative landscape of the Isle of Skye, aimed at luring travellers further north
