The £100k whisky up for auction in Edinburgh

editorial image

An Islay single malt whisky is to be auctioned with a minimum reserve of £100,000, the highest ever set for a whisky.

The Bowmore 1957, to be auctioned at Bonhams, is the oldest Bowmore and Islay single malt ever released.

Bonhams’ whisky specialist Martin Green said: “This is an amazing whisky with a range of tastes and aromas I have never experienced before. Immense care has been taken throughout with its creation and it shows in every aspect of the finished product.”
