Africa honours David Livingstone

AN EXHIBITION in Malawi devoted to the life and achievements of Dr David Livingstone will form part of a year-long celebration next year to mark the bicentenary of the famous explorer’s birth, it was announced yesterday.

The Scottish Government had pledged more than a quarter of a million pounds towards a series of projects designed to recognise Dr Livingstone and ensure future generations are made aware of the legacy of the Scottish explorer. Over £140,000 will be spent on the exhibition at Blantyre Museum in Malawi.
