Twilight couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart split for second time

TWILIGHT co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have ended their relationship just months after patching things up following ‘K-Stew’s’ affair with 42-year-old married film director Rupert Sanders.

The pair called time on their four-year relationship after reuniting last year and attending the November premieres of the final instalment in the Twilight saga.

Pattinson is said to have called it off this weekend past, telling Stewart that they would be better off as friends.

A source close to the couple said that Stewart had flown to Los Angeles to join Pattinson for the Golden Globes, only to be told that the 26-year-old Brit wanted an end to their relationship.

“He loves her but would rather go back to being good friends so they can rebuild their trust and focus on work after Twilight,” the source added.

The pair played on-screen couple Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, but the relationship appeared to be on the rocks over the festive period.

Pattinson revealed he got a hard time from his protective sisters after getting back together with Stewart, whom they heavily criticised for hurting the star, who also played Cedric Diggory in the Harry Potter series of films.
