Scot celebrates Bafta success
SCOTTISH musician turned film maker John Maclean was celebrating yesterday after winning Best Short Film at the Baftas for Pitch Black Heist.
The 13-minute movie about a bank heist that takes place in total darkness features Michael Fassbender, star of X Men: First Class and Jane Eyre.
Maclean, who travelled the world with his groups the Beta Band and The Aliens, is currently writing a full-length feature film.
He thanked Fassbender for using: “his only three days off ever and choosing it to do a short film”.
