Classic Brits to honour Williams

STAR Wars and Harry Potter soundtrack composer John Williams, 80, is to be honoured at the Classic Brit Awards.

The five-time Oscar winner will receive a lifetime achievement award at the annual event on 2 October.

Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti will perform at the event, officially called Classic Brit Awards 2012 with MasterCard in London.
