My life in clothes: Sam and Amanda Marchant

What's the last piece of clothing you bought?

We got a few bits from the new Kate Moss collection – including the heart-pattern cardie.

Best ever bargain?

A pair of shoe boots for just 30 in Miss Selfridge.

Who has great style?

We adore Mary Kate Olsen's quirky style as it looks so effortless. But we also love Blake from Gossip Girl.

Name your favourite high street shop.

Our fave shop for accessories and shoes has to be Topshop. We like experimenting with different looks at premieres and there, you can get vintage, classy or cool pieces.

What are you addicted to buying?

We can't stop buying shoes!

Any fashion disasters you'd care to tell us about?

The biggest fashion disaster Amanda ever had was when we were about eight years old. She went shopping with our auntie, who persuaded her to buy these red trousers and a matching top with a teddy bear on it. She wore it one day to go shopping, and when we walked back into the same shop, her outfit was there, but this time on a pyjamas rail.

What's your favourite item in your wardrobe?

We love our boyfriend blazers – we team them up with almost every outfit we wear. We also have some over-the-knee socks that make an outfit instantly funky.
