My life in clothes: Ben de Lisi, Fashion designer

What's the last piece of clothing you bought? A white Ralph Lauren Purple Label dinner jacket, for Elton John's White Tie and Tiara Ball.

Best ever bargain? Calvin Klein's white T-shirts. However many times you wash them, they always feel brand new.

Who has great style? Cary Grant, Jackie O and Audrey Hepburn.

Name your favourite high street shop. Debenhams.

What are you addicted to buying? White shirts with French cuffs from Thomas Pink. I have about 12 on rotation.

Any fashion disasters you'd care to tell us about? At Paris Fashion Week I bought a red cardigan with a leather trim and the designer's name emblazoned on the zip. It didn't even come out of the carrier bag when I got home.

What's your favourite item in your wardrobe? A Harris tweed jacket from Brooks Brothers, which I wear with a pair of Levis from American Classics in London.
