My life in clothes: Meg Mathews, designer

What’s the last piece of clothing you bought? A pair of Celine zipped black ankle boots. I picked them up from Dover Street Market in London.

Best-ever bargain? Alaia wedge boots that I got in Selfridges’s January sale last year – £99, what a steal!

Who has great style? It has to be Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham. They both have different styles, but always get it right.

Name your favourite high street shop. Topshop, New Look and Next. I absolutely love them. They bring fashion to the masses, which is important.

What are you addicted to buying? I am addicted to buying jewellery. That’s why I have just launched my own collection of pieces for Rachel Galley Jewellery. It’s called Venom and is inspired by my love of snakes.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about? A pair of silk shorts.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe? I love Isabel Marant trainers and I have six pairs. Can’t live without them.
