London Fashion Week kick off sparks excitement

Waiting for Video...

LONDON Fashion Week kicked off yesterday, with celebrities, extravagantly dressed observers and models wearing new designs creating a whirlwind of excitement in the capital.

The first day of the fashion showcase saw autumn/winter 2013 catwalk shows from KTZ, Zoe Jordan and Felder Felder among others.

Keen to see what trends they will be wearing next season, pop stars including Mollie King from The Saturdays, Kate Nash, Dionne Bromfield and Marina Diamandis, from Marina and the Diamonds, took their seats on the front row for the Felder Felder show at Somerset House.

Wearing a short backless dress, King described the show as “really feminine and sexy, amazing”. King branded London Fashion Week “so exciting”, and said it is “so nice to be home” after filming a television series in the US with her band mates. “London will always be home,” she said.

Singer Nash said she believes the London fashion event is such a success because “everyone just really goes for it and gets involved” and there is almost a “community feel”.

The star, known for her kooky dress sense, said she takes style inspiration from the big screen. “I was really inspired by Tarantino and the women in his films,” she said.
