Hidden Gems: Kakao by K

If you have walked along Thistle Street recently you may have been lucky enough to stumble upon new fashion boutique Kakao by K.

Bringing a flavour of Scandinavia, courtesy of a wide range of hot Scandinavian trends and kitsch accessories, the result is a shop brimming with whimsically feminine collections with a distinct flavour of styles – particularly from Copenhagen designers Edith and Ella who champion slim fitted jackets and ultra stylish shoes.

Fashion label D'ahrling's collections are inspired by the flamboyant creative scene in New York during the 70s and 80s, while Danish boutique owner Karina Baldorf has designed a must-have range of jewellery.

But the best bit is the relaxed, friendly shopping environment – something other boutiques struggle to get right.
