Beauty box: Helen Sher

HELEN SHER is founder of the Sher System (020 7499 4022, www.sher.co.uk), a drug-free therapy that has revolutionised the treatment of acne and rosacea.

What's your top beauty product? The Sher System water therapy routine – I haven't missed a day since I was a teenager.

Do you have a beauty tip? Always drink plenty of water – preferably still water at room temperature.

What are your best and worst features? My best features are my skin and smile, and worst is my feet. Unfortunately I inherited bunions.

Biggest beauty disaster? A spray tan that looked streaky and orange.

Would you ever consider having plastic surgery? Not for vanity.

What's in your bathroom cabinet? All my Sher System products, Vaseline rescue cream and dental floss.

Quick wipes or a three-step regime? A four-step routine – cleanser, toner, water therapy and serum.

How long do you take to get ready in the morning? I need at least an hour.

What's your favourite clothing? I have cashmere shrugs in every colour.

Do you prefer a real or bottled tan? A real tan, but I keep out of the sun as I know how damaging it is.

Are you brand-loyal? I wear Black Orchid by Tom Ford in the winter and Issey Miyake in summer. I also use Tommyguns shampoo and conditioner.

Who are your fashion/beauty idols? Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor.

What's your fantasy beauty treat? Floating in the Dead Sea.

What would you change about yourself? I would like to be taller.

Is there anything you wouldn't have done? Anything unnecessary. I believe in discipline, exercise, eating healthily and enhancing what you already have.
