EVENT: BREWDOG EDINBURGH PRESENTS: CRAFT

A night of all things craft beer from one of the biggest names in the hop revolution. Scottish brewers Brewdog will be at the Edinburgh Filmhouse tonight for a screening of the 2014 film Craft, a Canadian documentary on the independent craft beer scene. This will be followed by a Q&A session with some of the country’s biggest names in beer including Brewdog, Pilot and Tempest. Screening tickets also include a free goodie bag and a can of Punk IPA. EVENT: BOTANIC LIGHTS

Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Garden gets a glowing makeover for the festive season. Using 3D projections and lasers inspired by the natural elements, this lights show shines an eery spotlight on the garden’s wildlife. A spectacular outdoor event for all the family.

FILM: THE BIG BLUE

Luc Besson’s directorial debut is tonight’s offering from across the Channel, as part of the French Film Festival. The 10-day event puts the country’s cinematic classics (such as The Big Blue) alongside new and exciting releases (Emmanuelle Bercot’s La tête haute). Those familiar with Besson’s cinematic style from the likes of Leon and The Fifth Element should take the chance to revisit a classic on the silver screen.
