FIFTY Shades Of Grey director Sam Taylor-Johnson has told of the fiery arguments she had with EL James about bringing her raunchy novels to the big screen.
The artist turned film-maker admitted that she had creative differences with the best-selling author, whose books have won legions of fans around the world.
Today the film’s maker’s released a second clip for the hotly-anticipated film showing lead protagonist Christian Gray, played by Jamie Dornan, visting a hardware shop to purchase masking tape, cable ties and rope from nervous shop assistant Anastasia Steele who is played by Dakota Johnson.
Taylor-Johnson told Porter magazine: “It was difficult, I’m not going to lie.
“We definitely fought - but they were creative fights and we would resolve them.”
She added: “We would have proper on-set barneys, and I’m not confrontational, but it was about finding a way between the two of us, satisfying her vision of what she’d written as well as my need to visualise this person on screen. But, you know, we got there.”
