ALAN Rickman is to make a special appearance at the Glasgow Film Festival for the premiere of the new period drama he appears in with Kate Winslet, organisers have confirmed.

Rickman, who has directed and stars in A Little Chaos, will be at the Glasgow Film Theatre on 21 February for a gala screening of the film, which received its world premiere at in Toronto last year.

Winslet plays a strong-willed landscape designer who challenges sexual and class barriers when she is chosen to build one of the main gardens at King Louis XIV’s new palace at Versailles.
