ACTOR and comedian Jim Carrey is to publish a children’s book in September of this year, titled ‘How Roland Rolls’, according to his publisher.

The comic actor, who won Golden Globe Best Actor awards for his roles in The Truman Show and Man on the Moon, was described as ‘the perfect person to write a children’s book’ by Sabrina McCarthy, President of Perseus Books Group offshoot Perseus Distribution.

Carrey, who earlier this year appeared alongside Steve Carrell in The Incredible Burt Wonderstone, is known for his zany characters and comedy routines.

Ms McCarthy added: “He is such a vibrant, dynamic actor who brings amazingly vivid characters to life, and I think children will respond to the energy and enthusiasm he has brought to ‘How Roland Rolls’”.

The illustrated book, about a wave called Roland, will be Carrey’s first.
