The eventful 5-2 win over Royal Antwerp at Ibrox on Thursday night to complete a 9-5 aggregate victory saw Steven Gerrard’s men move into the last-16 of the Europa League where they will face Slavia Prague.

It was also another boost for the Scottish coefficient.

So far this season, Rangers have recorded a remarkable 18.5 points, putting them third across Europe outwith the top-four leagues.

Only Paris Saint-Germain on 19 and Portuguese giants Porto on 20 have accrued more.

Having defeated Lincoln Red Imps, Willem II and Galatasaray in the qualifying round, Rangers have since played eight games, winning six and drawing two.

In the process they have scored 21 and conceded 12.

Rangers are now just 19/1 to win the trophy with Betfair, placed ahead of the likes of Shakhtar Donetsk, Dynamo Kiev and Olympiacos.

As things stand the club will enter the Champions League qualifying at penultimate round next season.
