THESE dramatic images have scooped prestigious Scottish photography awards.
Donald Cameron, from Perth, won the accolade of Scottish Nature Photographer of the Year 2013 for his compelling black and white seascape.
Called The Boy, at Rattray Head in Aberdeenshire, the image offers the shadowy impressions of the figure of a boy on the beach.
The Scottish Wildlife Portrait Category was won by Mark Medcalf of Kirkmichael in Ayrshire, for his fun-loving picture of a chilled-out otter on the Isle of Mull. Mr Medcalf revealed he had to quietly wade through seaweed in order to capture this shot, titled Will You Rub My Feet?
Neil MacGregor, from Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, won first place in the environment category for All Wired Up, taken at the Rothiemurchus Fishery near Aviemore just after sunrise, “when some lovely morning light illuminated the pond and the bird as it lifted the trout”.
