Leading Scottish artist John Lowrie Morrison OBE – perhaps better known as Jolomo – said his new exhibition, which includes figurative works of crofters and disabled children, will prove he is not a “one trick pony” as some critics have claimed.

Morrison, whose vibrant paintings of Scottish islands and seascapes have been bought by such celebrity art lovers as Sting and Madonna, hit back at detractors as the Princess Royal opened the landmark Jolomo at the Mitchell exhibition at the Mitchell Library in Glasgow yesterday.
