Antiques restorer, 38
Who he? One of Scotland’s finest antiques restorers, whose 18-year career has seen him working in Europe and Australia. Fluent in French. Now based a little closer to home, he divides his time between restoration and teaching Britain’s only ‘introduction to antiques’ course. Believes antiques should be used, not locked away.
Conquests He’s keeping schtum.
Haunts Jeremy is in demand by museums and stately homes around the country. You’re most likely to find him in Forfar, however, where he lives just down the road from his parents.
Pluses Ruggedly handsome, a passion for history, good with his hands and isn’t short of gorgeous furniture.
Minuses Not so hot at other aspects of decorating. When asked how he created the colour of his dining room, he admitted, "I threw together all the paint I had left over."
Do Admire his prized continental furniture.
Don’t Wax lyrical about the merits of Ikea.
