FORMULA One world champion Lewis Hamilton described collecting his MBE from the Queen yesterday as "one of the most overwhelming experiences" of his life.
The 24-year-old racing star, who swapped his crash helmet for a smart grey pinstripe suit, said: "I was so nervous. It was one of the most overwhelming experiences I've ever had."

MBE at 24... tax exile... any token charity work?

MBE for driving in circles, while yes there is talent but really this is not worthy of an MBE.

Formula 1 is not "driving in circles".

Incidentally, I don't agree that Hamilton should be honoured at this early stage of his career. Fair enough with the likes of Moss or Stewart but Hamilton has still got a long way to go before he is in their league.
