McLeish memoirs given the all-clear

CIVIL service chiefs will not take any action against the former first minister Henry McLeish over his controversial memoirs. The Westminster Cabinet Secretary, Sir Andrew Turnbull, and the Holyrood permanent secretary, John Elvidge, wrote to Mr McLeish after learning that his book, Scotland First - Truth and Consequences, was to be serialised in a newspaper.
