The choice of your charity may be a cause that means a lot to you or it may be your company’s nominated charity you jump for. You can book just for yourself, or you can book with friends and family for a group skydive all on the same day – it’s completely up to you.

You can choose from one of the 22 skydiving centres that are affiliated to the British Parachute Association to ensure quality of training and equipment. All 22 centres are listed at www.skylineevents.co.uk together with details of location and prices.

Brave participants pay a £70 booking fee before beginning their fundraising journey – you can be as creative as you like with how you raise your sponsorship, try fun ideas such as bake sales and quiz nights! Within no time you will have reached your minimum target of £380 to cover your jump costs and sponsorship money, and be on your way to completing the challenge of a lifetime!

You can either fundraise online on a giving page or offline with sponsorship forms – it really is that simple. Once you have reached your target all that’s left to do is enjoy the ride.

In preparation for your big day you will need to make sure you have comfortable clothing, nothing too restricting like jeans and also comfortable shoes - we suggest trainers that you can tie up. Helmets and jumpsuits are provided on the day. You can invite your friends and family along to the day too.

The parachute centres will try to their best to complete your jump as quickly as possible, however due to factors which are uncontrollable such as weather and air control we do say to expect to be there for the whole day.

On the day itself, try not to be too nervous – it will be an experience of a lifetime. You will have your 30 minutes of training before jumping strapped to your instructor. The BPA (British Parachute Association) qualified tandem instructor does all of the hard work for you, allowing you to enjoy the incredible feeling of flying through the clouds at up to 120 mph.

Once leaving the aircraft on your skydiving adventure you will experience free-falling through the clouds before your parachute deploys. You will then glide through the air taking in the stunning view, before safely landing back at the airfield.

You can capture your incredible feat on camera as our experience airfield photographers will film you as you soar through the air and leave you with a memory you won’t ever forget; perfect for showing friends and family, and sharing on social media.

With over 5,000 skydives happening each year, this is by far one of the most popular and exciting events, and while it truly challenges you, it also helps to raise huge amounts of money for worthy causes with some charities receiving over £250,000 a year from charity skydiving alone.

For thousands of people this is a fantastic way to conquer your fears and take on something that you never would have dreamed of doing in order to make a difference to a cause close to your heart.
