THE literary agency Curtis Brown confirmed yesterday that the Edinburgh office founded and run by the late Giles Gordon is to close.

So who can take over as Private Eye's special agent in Scotland?

THE death of Giles Gordon in November has provoked more tears than he would have imagined. He has been heaped with praise for his intelligence and the best confirmation of brains - a sense of humour. THE life of Giles Gordon, the celebrated Edinburgh literary agent who died after a tragic fall at his home, was remembered yesterday in the cathedral for which he was named.

Sparkling life brought to end by cruel fate

IT IS profoundly shocking that Giles Gordon, who was my agent, is dead, not just because accidents are shocking but because he was a man who was always so sharply alive.
