Sadly what once was a great Edinburgh pub has been mostly ruined by the fairly recent takeover. The least friendly publicans imaginable, who would rather hassle you to drink up after just serving you than encourage you to come back.
They really don't seem to know how to deal with the public and have an appalling lack of tact. This used to be a true local pub with great, friendly regulars. Sadly most of the regulars have been driven out. I'd rather have old Davie back than these pompous fools.
Hopefully one day soon it will be bought over by someone who actually enjoys dealing with the public.

Nice little pub at the top end of Leith Walk, years ago the Walk had loads of pubs but many of them have now closed down. The Buffet is one of the few pubs that I would now happily go into on Leith Walk, it has a good mixed customer base and it also sells a couple of real ales. When the TV studios use to be next door you use to see the odd celeb.

An absolute gem of a bar situated at the top of Leith Walk opposite Edinburgh Youth Hostel. One of the last few pubs which has moved on with the times whilst retaining its unique character. Saff are always friendly and do their upmost to please. Beer and ale quality is excellent, prices are reasonable for the location and the atmosphere is comfort personified. The perfect place to wind down and probably the best pint of Deuchars in town!!!

The windsor is a total god send. Spent many a excellent night in there. Davey behind the bar is a legend. Great local friendly bar. Deuchars is a must

Located on Elm Row, at the top of Leith Walk this cozy little pub has an almost grandfatherly feel to it, making it the perfect hideout for anybody who likes a nice, relaxed atmosphere to settle in and have a pint or five. Drinks are slightly on the expensive side at £2.50 a pint of Fosters, but the TV, the leather seats, the sheets of fantasy football teams, and the general "old pub" ambience more then makes up for it.
Definitely a good place to chill out, meet new people, and to just do the guy thing.
