Great club with great music and clientele. Drinks are cheap during the week and slightly more on the expensive side on the weekend!

Edinburgh’s oldest alternative venue. Good for cool kids.

Prior to Cab Vol, my experiances of clubs tended to be a chavvy, overpriced place with bad music and the lingering smell of dog excrements.
This place changed all that, I came on a Monday night so it wasn't exactly packed, but entry on the guestlist was a pretty good price, drinks were reasonable and the smell didn't make me feel like retching. Hooray!
Even though the place wasn't that busy, there was a really good, laid-back atmosphere, everyone there just wanted to dance and have a good time, and the staff were really helpful and pleasant (one of the barmen obviously clocked I was a student and advised me on the cheapest drinks without my asking).
The ladies toilets are especially good when you've had a few, you can see outside the cubicle but no-one can see in, which gave me and my friends a good 20 minutes of giggles.
As for the music? There's a good mix of everything, it's well-mixed, it made me smile and dance about.
Cab Vol? Go for it.

I've yet to visit this venue for a club night however for my first visit as a gig venue, it came up trumps. It provided a nice, intimate but lively atmosphere (the gig was Angus and Julia Stone, and they were brilliant). There were no long queues and the bar and the drinks were reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

The way clubbing should be, underground, mysterious in some darkened cavern. Not sure how you got here, defiantly not sure where the people are you came with, and you don't care, it's just all sweaty and filled with smiles.
Four years after it's conception this club still holds the mantle as 'the' club to party in, and it deserves that title. Plenty of options are available for your music taste too- they're clever like that.
Huge queues for a good reason!

A wonderful and unique club. It is underground in a large stone cellar looking type place. It can get very busy and the bars can get insanely busy and you can be waiting a while to be served. They do some great themed nights here such as Spanish night, but also nights where unknown acts play and also different DJs.
This place has a great atmosphere and you can't help but dance when you go here. You have to pay cover some nights so it pays to get here early to have the whole night there.
