The castle is full of things to see and do, enjoyed my visit, shame about not being able to take photos of some of the attractions in there especially for the price of £16.00 for an adult. Some of the staff are extremely rude to visitors and need lessons in how to deal with the public although some of the staff were really nice.

I recall a really memorable holiday in Edinburgh, a vibrant city with everything you could wish for, day & night.

I prefer to view the castle from below, as it looms over the city. I think it is much more impressive like that. Up close you cannot really see much without paying a seriously hefty entrance fee. There are some displays and exhibitions inside, but not enough that I would ever go in again.

Still gots to be 4 stars. Couldn’t give any less to such an iconic landmark.

The museum within the castle walls was created with much thought. They have interesting stories to tell, and they tell them in an intriguing way.
We had fine weather as long as we were outside, and the view from up there is breathtaking.

it’s definitely worth the 14£ admission. and i highly recommend getting the portable audio guide too. it’s a brilliant sunny sunday, there’s a lot of information, materials and things to see inside. it’s large and quite windy so get proper shoes and warm clothes. a must see !

you cannot miss edinburgh castle if you are here :) its beautiful, i love it at night . it light up the whole area.

i have been to the castle itself , and I payed a quite high number to get there because I invited two other people ! I think tickets should be a bit cheaper!

From the inside , there is nothing much to see , I mean i though I was gonna be taken back in time to see all the old things and maybe go inside the castle and see the furniture and stuff , but no , you can only see the open space and some indoor museums ,

I have to say the views are quite beautiful because Edinburgh is FABULOUS :)

I wouldn’t go back though bcz I just did not feel like i was taken back in time!!

I recommen Holyrood palace if you like takin a look back at old times :)

Located at the top of the Royal Mile – which involves walking up a steady incline on cobbled road, which could be troublesome for those with mobility issues.
The castle is one of Edinburgh’s top tourist attractions and has a lot of information on the castle and its rich history. There are also a few museum sections within the castle that are worth seeing.

The price is very expensive, especially for families on a budget and there is not a lot to engage children, particularly those who find it difficult to concentrate for long periods. The cafe inside the castle is also very expensive, so it’s worth keeping hidden costs in mind.

Some lovely exhibits. jewels are especially worth seeing. But can get very busy, particularly on weekends and during peak season/school holidays.
