A wonderful selection of ready-made beautiful cultured pearls - or custom made in your choice of pearl size, colour and length if none of those in stock meet your requirements.  I have just taken delivery of a choker in iridescent peacock blues and am delighted with the quality. A beautiful gift for a loved one, or a treat for yourself for a special occasion. Very helpful and friendly service.

Excellent service - from the moment I walked into the shop I got a really good vibe. Emma was extremely helpful and informative and I am absolutely delighted with my diamond ring. It was designed exactly to my specification and was made within two weeks. I would recommend this jewellers.

Absolutely brilliant service, really lovely experience having travelled to Edinburgh for a getaway. At every point the assistant was extremely helpful over the period of a few days, not pushy at all. Lots of one-to-one advice and after sale service. The only reason not 5 stars is my wedding ring was too small after the advice of the assistant, but with all the after-care and free re-sizing it shouldn't be a problem, and price was excellent for a jewelers in the centre of Edinburgh.

I would never use this company wouldn't even recommend it to my worst enemy. Bought my wife's engagement ring and had a fault with it and they have back pedaled every angle possuble to avoid rectifying this defeat. Awful service , poor quality - expected more for spending £3600 on a ring - never again. STAY CLEAR of this shop. Couldn't put less than one star or would have. Not the first review I have read about there aftercare service being awful. Wish I had done some research.

After looking round different jewellers trying to find engagement rings, my fiance and I tried Robert Anthony's and I'm so glad we did. We were met by an extremely friendly and helpful member of staff (Amna) who listened to what we wanted and let me try on lots of stunning rings, some of which were well above our budget but she didn't look at us and judge us or try to guess our budget, unlike some others. Found the most beautiful perfect ring and it was sent away for resizing and returned to us a couple of weeks later, where we unfortunately discovered a small diamond missing. We brought the ring back immediately and Amna couldn't apologise enough, and sent it away again for repair. We had to wait a bit longer than expected because I had asked for an additonal alteration to the size, but Amna kept us informed of the process and now that my ring is here, it is absolutely gorgeous and I'm ridiculously happy. It was hard being without the ring but the customer service we received was first class, and we will be going back here for our wedding bands as we were taken care of so well and the ring itself is stunning. I would definitely recommend Robert Anthony :)

Awful!  Would thoroughly recommend people stay away from this jeweller.  Am sure they are fine when all is well but as soon as there is a problem they will lie, ignore and do anything to wriggle out of the situation.  We purchased wedding bands a few years ago - on visit one got a quote for two rings we liked, on visit two tried the rings again along with some others, and opted for the original two.  Once home found the original quote which was much lower than what we were paying so phoned then returned to store to be told that the price of platinum had gone up which was why the price differed.  This was a lie.  When we showed up to collect our rings they were the wrong ones - mine didn't even fit with my engagement ring it was so large and thick and it was clear that the assistant who ordered for us had put down the incorrect order number.  The service we got after that was dispicable - Robert Anthony didn't see the problem that we had the wrong rings for a more expensive price.  As my husband had a satinised finish on his ring they claimed that the manufacturer wouldn't accept it as a return.  After several weeks of letters and phonecalls, I eventually got legal advice and put together a letter with several points that showed the assistant who served us had been backtracking about putting the wrong number down.  I am convinced she and the business knew that she was in the wrong but they wouldn't hold their hands up to it.  In the end I threatened legal action and Robert Anthony called a few days later to say that the manufacturer had miraculously changed their mind about accepting the returned rings, so we got the ones we originally chose at the price we were quoted.  All's well that ends well, but it really turned sour what should have been a very special purchase for us.  Can't even walk past the Rose Street store without shuddering!  (Would give 0 out of 5 stars but it wont let me!)

Went to look at wedding bands and ask about repairing the slightly loose stone on my engagement ring.
Once we had had a look at the bands and as this was the first shop we'd been in, it was fairly obvious that we would not be buying that day we were dropped like a stone, I should have taken this as an omen but got talked into leaving my engagement ring with them to tighten up the claws, BIG mistake!
When the ring was finaly returned to me (originaly told a week to 10 days and took over 3 weeks-they had my ring for longer than I had!) it looked like someone had been let loose with a soldering iron and just melted the platinum onto the stone.. I burst into tears when I  saw it, the shop assistiant who was aparantly the owners son, coulnd't see what was wrong with the 'repair' and after i started making a fuss in the front of the shop was ushered into the back to discuss.. after many more visits and phonecalls i finaly agreed to  a whole new setting and style of ring as this was all that was on offer. I'm not even sure it is the same diamond as the valuation for the new set ring was over £500 less than the original valuation certificate.
What should have been a month of showing off my engagement ring was taken away and replaced with stress and tears i'll never set foot in one of their shops again and will warn everyone else off them..

I couldn't disgaree more strongly with the perceptions of the negative reviewers - my advice is to try these guys before you judge them.

I have used this jewellers several times since moving to Edinburgh a few years ago and always found them courteous, knowledgeable and incredibly hellpful.

Particular thanks to the wonderful Emma in the Rose Street branch

My experience with Robert Anthony in the Gyle has been superb. They made  bespoke wedding bands for both my husband and myself in 2009. We had a very tight timeline as I arranged my wedding in 9 weeks, this was not a problem for them.  Following the loss of my rings less than a year later, they made and helped me design a new bespoke ring. The efficency , service and results are remarkable and I have no difficulty in reccomending them to my friends and colleagues as I frequently get asked where I bought my rings.

Lovely experience getting our wedding rings. Our request was unusual and we left it quite late but we had our rings in plenty time and were kept up to date with their progress. They also recognised us every time we went in which was nice, highly recommend!
