davidtaylor1978 last updated on 29 August 2012: Great food, great service and even better great beer. Had a really good time over the festival and will be going back super soon. Loved the popcorn...

We ate here for lunch on the Saturday before Christmas. It's not somewhere I would choose and our expectations were not high. However the food was reasonable (apart from the burger which was not nice) and the salmon, tuna and kid's chicken fillets were all surprisingly nice. The fish and chips was also good and my mother-in-law's pasta bake seemed to be pleasant enough. It's not top quality by any means but the price was reasonable so I guess you get what you pay for.

It was our first time at the Ocean Kitchen and Bar, and it will be our last staff rude and unhelpful, so much so my husband and only had soup I refuse to support companies which dont provide decent customer service.  there are plenty of other food establishments both in the mall and the surrounding area.

Fantastic views across the firth of forth and Britannia, coupled with great food and friendly service makes this a perfect place to eat out.

Wide menu, ranging from fresh soups, to filled rolls, to full meals. Would recommend you try the fish and chips - probably the best ive tasted!

Staff are friendly and helpful, and prices are good for the portion size.

They also hold club nights, with DJ's, Vegas Nights and musicians. Have been to a couple of Vegas Nights, which are all well organised!

The outside terraced area is perfect to relax on a sunny day, with a coffee or cocktailh

I had a tuna steak, which was one of the most gorgeous things I have ever tasted! I loved the size of the restaurant and the beautiful view. The only negative aspect was it was quite unclear where to queue and where to pay, etc. And the staff weren't exactly running over each other to help us out.

A great place to come for a drink before a film. Or, in the evenings if it’s warm it’s nice to sit on their balcony/terrace and look at the sunset.

I’ve never had food here though but nice for a drink!

Inside the great Ocean terminal this open plan eaterie does daytime coffeee and evening meals. The portion sizes are really small, the food is not great but it’s one redeeming feature is the view out over the firth of forth and Britannia.
Have a coffee for sure but don’t expect anything special.

My first attempt at Christmas shopping and I needed sustenance within 3 minutes of getting off the bus outside Ocean Terminal. We ignored Costa Coffee, too boring; Baxters Deli, too deserted (too many rules, too expensive); Zinc, disappeared; M&S Cafe, oh-my-god-do-we-have-to? NO! The Ocean Kitchen Bar & Grill comes up trumps and saves the day…..

The views of the Firth of Forth are amazing, but we have to sit one row back from the windows as the tables there are too low to be able to eat a bowl of soup with any elegance. The soup is good however. Flavour of the day was Indian Carrot & Coriander. I just managed to avoid asking the difference between British and Indian carrots. I wouldn’t have been the first…

My companion had a filled roll and her only comment (in between munches) was how beautifully fresh it was.
We could have had a more substantial meal with wine and dear reader, the chips were very tempting, but we had to keep ourselves sharp for the serious gift purchases to follow.

Ocean Kitchen Bar & Grill? A very pleasent lunchtime surprise.
